Just now seeing this post. My dad also flew for FAA. We lived on Joachim Becher Strasse as well, from 1961 through 1965. My parents had taken a '60 Rambler station wagon over with us and we traveled all over Europe in that.…..great memories. My favorite was traveling to Berchtesgaden, staying in the General Walker hotel and first learning to snow ski there. Also traveling all through Italy and the Black Forest in Germany

My son was born at the 97th in 1986. What an adventure living in Europe was. He is currently in the Air Force now at the age of 31 and texted me today that he was in Germany having left Venice, and Latvia. What wonderful memories I have of our time in Germany. I was at the 21st in Jul 1961 when it was located downtown frankfurt near the old military shopping center. I remember it was located next to a building where some catholic nuns were living. It was not on a military kaserne. Does anybody remember this location?

After a serious injury will stationed in Germany in 1980. I was rushed to the 97th General Hospital. These moments will live with me forever. Thanks to the staff there I am able to walk today. Though I have lingering disabilities from the accident. If it was not for the medical staff there it would have been far worse. Thank God for the Doctors and nurses that treated me there on 12/17/1980. Peace!

My family lived on the Gibbs Concern from late 1965 - 1968. My daughter will be attending school in Hamburg later this year and I would love to see where I once lived while I'm visiting her in Hamburg. I too, would love to see any type of mapping that would assist me finding the old home.

I was born there in 1979...a preemie with a lot of medical issues. The staff did a great job keeping me alive as all odds were against me! I am looking for my birth / medical records from that time...July 1979....I hope they weren't destroyed! :( Can anyone tell me if I have a chance on finding these records? I was critically ill at the time of birth and still suffer the consequences today. It would help a great deal if anyone could help! Thank you!
