During the period 1959-1964 the Ambassador Arms office as well as rooms were in this building. The building across the driveway (East) was the annex and had additional rooms. The complex was, basically, a transient residential facility for the Abrams Complex

During my time at 1st. Brigade, 3d. Armored Division, Kirch-Göns (1959-1964) it also was the Officer's Club for the Abrams Complex.

Annex A was where the history classes were taught. They also taught vo-tech classes there. Annex B was where the auto, cosmetology and other labs were housed. It was in about the same place as the two long buildings just above it are located. Annex B was still there in the late 1970s. The fire was a little later.

In late 1954 a motor show took place in the entrance lobby, the abbsolute hit was a '53 Oldsmoble Starlight.

Home of the 21st Replacement Bn, or 21st Repo Depot. Been there twice. First time in Germany the Bn was downtown Frankfurt. Cool place:)

I worked here at The Terrace Club in 1970-71 under Msgt Trull. We brought live lobster in from Maine every Friday night, and had a patio barbeque, weather permitting. There were slot machines and a bakery out back that made great strudel. I loved to go to The IG Farben Bldg and get wurst, senf, and a roll for lunch. I lived at the Gibbs Kaserne and hung at Freddie's after work.

I was there 3/70-3/72, was a great experience, lets here from others, had a lot of good friends there

This building served as the Officers Club in the mid and late 70s.

Now retired Air Base added on to Frankfurt.

In 1968 the Corp of Engineers, 94th Engineering Battalion from Nellingen, Kasern, near Stuttgart, was given the task of adding the large hanger and apron to the existing field. During the constuction phase and batching plant full of dry concrete fell over spreading the area with a fine dust of portland. Also during the construction our mobile ten ton crane had problems making turns in town causing damage to a few homes.
